Last Call. The last night in the warehouse.

We opened May 1, 2025 as a two-month project: the Paisley ID installation in our own venue, with a tea component so guests could linger and socialize. When the timeline ended we decided not to close. We pivoted to hosting events around tea and art. Workshops, parties, mahjong, cabaret nights, and more. We experimented, had a lot of fun, made connections, and met quite a few incredible people.

With our day jobs and limited free time, we're at the end of this incarnation. Morphing into a work/live space where we can be more present. And with our cats. Smaller room, inspired by Japanese stalls, with tea service and the machines back at the center of it. Re-opening October 1.

First, one more night. Twelve hours of it.

🧘 4 to 7 PM: Awaken the Chakras Workshop + Tea Tasting
A guided chakra workshop with Sanskritsangha (@sanskritsangha), followed by a tasting through the teas that have poured here since May.

🌇 7 to 9 PM: Sunset on the rooftop
Up the stairs, out of the Den, one last look at the neighborhood from the roof.

🎧 9 PM to 4 AM: DJs
Grey Audio, John Doe, Sylknet, PLAYJAZZLOUD, and more guests. All night, until we're done.

🏧 The Installation
Bu Tea Den is the permanent home of Paisley ID. The AFTMs (Automated Fortune Telling Machines) are repurposed ATMs that use numerology and chakra theory to generate a personalized fortune. Worth the visit on its own. Bring someone who hasn't seen it.
