Meet the AFTM, an Automated Fortune Telling Machine built from a retired ATM. A few questions in, it prints a fortune ticket and makes a digital Paisley energy portrait guests keep on their phone.
Our tea bar gives people a reason to stop, compare fortunes and talk to someone new. It's all zero-proof, so everyone in the room can join in, from the CFO to the intern.

About 15 to 20 guests an hour can take the quiz and get their ticket at each machine. Bigger crowd? We add a second machine. Tea for everyone, however many come. Just the machine? Ask us.
The aquarium
The quiz and the ticket are personal. The aquarium is the other half: every guest's Paisley swims into one tank, and we watch what people do. They find theirs, look for their friends', and start talking to strangers.
By the end of the night the tank holds everyone who came.

Every guest's Paisley swims into a shared aquarium on a screen in the room, so people find theirs and point out each other's. We project it on a wall, plug into your TV or bring our own screen. See the options.
Yes. Your logo prints on every fortune ticket.
Yes. We can add a few questions of your own, sort guests into your groups (teams, company values, travel styles), or print a line written for your event. Your layer sits on top of the Paisley quiz, so every guest still gets their full reading. Want a quiz that's entirely yours? That's a custom build, quoted separately. Custom editions need about 3 weeks.
Each machine weighs about 250 lbs, so we need ground-level or elevator access, plus 1 outlet per machine and wifi. For the aquarium: a wall, a TV or room for our screen. We're based in DTLA. Travel past 25 miles is an add-on.
A 50% deposit holds it. Corporate cards, ACH and POs welcome. We'll set the balance terms in your quote.
The deposit is refundable up to 14 days before your event.

Bu Tea Den is a tea speakeasy and art lounge in DTLA. Lounge seats, red lanterns, a projection wall where every guest's Paisley swims, and 2 fortune machines already plugged in.
Birthdays, team nights, readings, comedy, creative circles, club and member nights. Bring the group, we'll pour the tea.
